Disney animated movies and Pixar animated movies prove that animation isn't "just for kids," where it can be enjoyed by children and adults alike. These movies embed life lessons and provide an opportunity for children and adults to reconsider their approaches and mindsets. For instance, in The Mitchells vs. the Machines (2021), one of the most important takeaways from the movie was to follow your passion and interests.

Yet there are some animated movies and TV shows such as Family Guy,South Park, or BoJack Horseman that are targeted toward an older group of viewers. Even though some of these adult animated TV shows have intense gory scenes of violence, others indirectly (or directly) joke about politics, pop culture, or absurd situations.
